Before the owners went away they discovered Skip could escape so sealing up the possible area off they went. I was greeted by Skip on my side of the fence looking very pleased with himself. When it came time to depart, Skip squeezed his vast shape under the gate to come with me. The gate was then painstakingly blocked off so that even a mouse couldn't squeeze through - all the time Skip watched us blocking it off. When finished we all stood back to admire the handiwork. Next thing Skip walked over to a gate at the side, wriggled under that and came over sat down beside us and admired our handiwork too. Cheeky bugger must have been having a real laugh watching us hard at work!
I believe that every dog has alot of human mannerisms, you just need to look out for them and then enjoy them. Cosmo is a beautiful affectionate golden labrador who seems to like nothing more than chilling out with his family. He has the life of luxury and when I turned up the other day the owners were landscaping the back garden. Barrow loads of rocks and rubble were being taken back and forth and not to be outdone by everyone else Cosmo was helpfully picking up one rock at a time and carrying it through to the back garden to put with the other rocks! He also enjoys doing lengths in the pool but is only allowed in when the family are not in the water. So waiting until Maddie and the children nipped out he jumped straight in to cool down. It's a hard life being loved.
